Our Research

Work in the RNEL spans a spectrum of neurophysiology and neuroprosthetics research, ranging from non-human primate and other preclinical studies to human subjects research in individuals with disabilities. We specifically emphasize translational and clinical neural engineering research.

Bioengineer

The RNEL is seeking a bioengineer to contribute to the engineering efforts of our advanced neural prosthetics program. The candidate will lead mechanical, electrical and software engineering projects including design, fabrication, testing and software/hardware integration of robotic systems, biomechanical and neurophysiological data acquisition systems and custom lab apparatus. The candidate will also contribute to the development of research projects and coordinate technical development for studies conducted by RNEL. This person will contribute to the overall leadership, organization and compliance for human and animal subject research in the RNEL. Finally, the incumbent will work with the PI’s in the administrative duties related to reporting and other requirements of the numerous projects that are being carried out.

Masters preferred however will accept Bachelors in Bioengineering or other related engineering or health sciences degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
